Contact
Send us a message through our contact form and we'll get back to you. When reporting a problem, it helps to include your macOS version and, if possible, the steps that led to the issue.
System requirements
Clario Write runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
What file format does it use?
Clario Write saves standard RTF (Rich Text Format). Your documents open in Apple Pages, Microsoft Word, TextEdit, and virtually any other word processor — with your formatting intact.
Will I lose my work if the app quits?
No. Clario Write automatically keeps a backup of open documents as you write. If the app or your Mac ever quits unexpectedly, you'll be offered your unsaved work the next time you open it.
Can I open .rtf files from Finder?
Yes. Double-click an .rtf file, or drag it onto Clario Write. You can also set Clario Write as your default RTF editor from Finder: select a file, choose Get Info ▸ Open with ▸ Change All.
How do I change page size or margins?
Open the Document palette (Format ▸ Document Palette, or ⌘D) to set page size, margins, orientation, and rulers.
How do I export a PDF?
Choose File ▸ Export as PDF, or click the PDF button in the toolbar.
